How private is the wedding venue?
The beachfront garden setting is more convenient for weddings and private parties as it offers more seclusion and privacy during wedding ceremonies and reception parties. This venue is set above the shoreline, where the altar and the reception area have been built on a higher ground making the wedding ceremony and parties more personal and away from the public eye.
Do you have a special group rate for us?
Certainly. Our group rate applies for a booking with more than 10 rooms. Please contact your wedding planner or you may also contact your nearest travel agent in your country of residence.
What is your wedding package deposit and cancellation policy?
1st Deposit: Once the wedding date is confirmed, 50% of the wedding package must be paid within one week to guarantee the reservation.
2nd Deposit: The last deposit must be paid two months before the Event date.
Full Deposit: 100% deposit must be paid one month before the Event date.
Full pre-payment must be made before the Event. The Hotel accepts payment by credit card or bank transfer. Payment made 30 days prior to the Event date must be made by credit card only.
20% of the wedding package is non-refundable regardless of any circumstances.
Cancellation: 30 days before the event – 50% charge of the wedding ceremony.
Cancellation: 7 days before the event – 100% charge of the wedding ceremony.
Cancellation: 2 days before the event – 100% charge of the total bill of the event.
Can we have a practice ceremony prior to the wedding day?
Certainly, you may have a practice ceremony prior to the wedding day, but there will be no formal set up of the venue. The wedding venue is available for rehearsal on request from 11:00 – 13:00 hrs from Monday – Saturday. (Subject to venue availability)
Can you change or remove some items from the wedding package?
We normally allow a few changes or deletions of the package items. However, the package price would not be discounted. Any package items that are unwanted may be substituted for other items or services of equal or lesser value.
What flavor is the wedding cake? Would it be enough for everyone?
Chocolate, butter, or fruit cake. The standard cake is 5 pounds which is sufficient for around 30 people.
Are hair and make-up services for bridesmaid included in the package?
Unfortunately they are not included in the package. There is an additional charge of 3,000 baht net per person for make-up and hairdressing services. 2,000 baht net per person for make-up only. 1,500 baht net per person for hairdressing only.
Can I order additional bouquets for my bridesmaids, buttonholes for the groomsmen, wrist corsages for our mothers?
Certainly. The price for a small round bouquet is 3,000 baht net per bouquet. 3,500baht net for a small long bouquet. 350 baht net per buttonhole and 700 baht net per wrist corsage.
Does the resort offer pressing or steaming services for the wedding dress?
We certainly do. We would need your dress approximately 3 days before the wedding. The price is 1,500 baht net per wedding dress. Please contact your wedding coordinator upon checking-in to the Katathani.
Can we meet the Master of ceremony prior to the wedding date?
Certainly. You are able to meet the Master of ceremony/Celebrant prior to the wedding. Also you are able to create your personalize vows and give it to him or you can choose the vows from him.
Can we have a wedding ceremony without reception?
Certainly. You are able to have only wedding ceremony at our hotel without reception, but there will be an additional charge of THB 20,000 net for the fee.
Can we meet the Photographer and music player prior to the wedding date?
Certainly. You are able to meet the Photographer and music player prior to the wedding date. Please let us know the date and time then our wedding coordinator will make an appointment them to meet you prior to the wedding date.
If we do not need the Trio band to play the music during the ceremony, can we have them play the music after finishing the ceremony, as we will bring our own CDs or iPod? Also who is controlling the music during the ceremony?
The trio band can play the music after the ceremony finished. They will play the music for approx. 30 minutes (As a part of the package). If you would like to have them stay longer, there will be an additional charge of 6,000 baht net per hour or 16,000 baht net for 3 hours. Also you are able to give you wedding songs (CDs or iPod) to our wedding coordinator, she will take care of your wedding music and recheck the songs for you. On the day of the wedding, our technician will control the sound system. Our wedding coordinator and banquet team will also stand by at the venue to take care of your guests while they are waiting for the groom and bride to arrive at the venue.
When do we have to pay the additional charge such as food, drink and etc.?
You are able to pay the additional charge now or pay the additional charge 1 month before the wedding.
When do we have to select the flower decoration, bouquet, buttonhole etc, by?
We require all the information at least 4 months prior to the wedding date. Once you have completed the wedding form (Part 1 – Ceremony and Cocktail reception, Part 2 – Dinner reception), please send it back to our wedding coordinator. Once we receive the wedding forms, our wedding coordinator will give you the final wedding schedule and detailed summary of the wedding.
When do you suggest is the best time to get married?
The best time to get married is from middle of November to March.
The average temperature is around 24C to 32C and there is very little chance of rain.
April and May are the hottest months of the year. The temperatures range from 27C to 36C.
From June to the first week of November, it is a rainy season. However, there are always good chances of beautiful blue skies.
In the incident of rain during the ceremony or reception party will you have to cancel the wedding or do you have additional venues where the ceremony can be moved?
The wedding will not be cancelled, if it rains then the ceremony will be either moved to the Seacret Dining area and the Palm Bar which as a capacity to hold up to 120 persons or to the Naka room which can hold up to 80 persons. We will keep the first agreed venue for you until 2 pm. After that the wedding coordinator will come to talk to you directly and you can make decision whether you would like to move the venue indoor (covered area next to the wedding terrace, yet still facing the ocean).
In case of rain during the ceremony, we have to stop the ceremony and require 1 hour to set-up the venue in a covered area. If it’s not too windy, we can continue the ceremony and our staff will prepare umbrellas for the couple and guests.
